TECH WAR!? Facebook Set To Launch New Career Website
Facebook is reportedly set to launch a new career website which will allow users maintain personal and professional accounts for distinct uses.
The new service, known as “Facebook at work”, could challenge
other career based social media sites like LinkedIn, Google’s drive email and
Microsoft Outlook products.
Currently, most organizations ban employees from accessing
the regular Facebook site at work as a means of curbing workplace distraction
and misuse of productive working hours. “Facebook at work” has features which
would enable users to chat with co-workers, connect with professional contacts
and work jointly on documents-features which could soften the hard stance of
employers. Despite these, however, “to become an integral part of office life,
Facebook will need to win (their-employees) trust”, stressed the Financial
times.
The new service is currently undergoing trials, but the date
of the launch is unknown as yet.
Facebook was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and as at
September 2014, has over 1 billion users.

Photos: Solange Knowles Breaks Out In Hives On Her Wedding Day
It's every bride's worst nightmare that an unsightly blemish might ruin their wedding photos.
And poor Solange Knowles appears to have suffered a nasty case of hives after walking down the aisle with her video director boyfriend Alan Ferguson on Sunday in a fun-filled New Orleans ceremony.
The singer was pictured with unfortunate red lumps all over of her face and neck, something which TMZ has attributed to a food allergy, as she clambered into the back of a waiting car with her sister, Beyonce, and brother-in-law, Jay Z.
Her superstar sibling was at hand to help and appeared to be comforting her, covering her up in the back of the vehicle.
A source told TMZ: 'Solange suffered some kind of food allergy, though she isn't sure what it was from....the hives were gone in a matter of minutes.'
Luckily for Solange, it seems her angry allergic breakout only occurred at the end of the ceremony and didn't ruin the whole day.
She was the epitome of elegance as she walked down the aisle with her long-term love Alan, clad in a conservative yet chic cape dress.

“Blinded” Out: United Star Sidelined For a Month-Plus
Manchester United’s injury woes
continued even during the international break with summer signing, Daley Blind
being the latest addition to an already crippling injury list. The 24-year old
Left Back/Defensive Midfielder suffered the injury while on international duty
with the Dutch National Team-the Orange Boys, against Latvia in a UEFA-EURO
2016 qualifier.
Blind is set to be out of action
for four to six weeks, according to medical reports.
The player reacted to the latest
blow on his Instagram page:
“I’m proud of my 25 games for the
Dutch National Team, but I’m so gutted with my injury. I’ll stay positive en
will come back stronger”, posted the Player.
The Orange Boys won the match 6-0.
“Postpone 2015 Elections”- Pastor Bakare Warns
Senior Pastor of the Latter Rain
Assembly and former Vice Presidential candidate on the platform of the Congress
for Progressive Change (CPC), Pastor Tunde Bakare, has advocated the
postponement of the 2015 elections in the face of the security challenges
confronting the nation. Speaking at last Sunday’s Thanksgiving ceremony held in
the Church, Pastor Bakare said:
“Even if elections are held
successfully in some parts of the country, would the results be conclusive
without elections in the troubled parts? How would displaced persons cast their
votes or are they automatically disenfranchised? How safe would massive
campaign rallies be?”
The clergyman proceeded to
recommend a two year “transitional government” to adopt the report of the
recently concluded National Conference in order to avoid the backlash that may
trail the elections.
“In my capacity as a servant of
God and a watchman mandated to warn the nation ahead of impending danger, I
have already made it clear that we need a transitional government to pilot our
nation out of this chaos before we can talk about elections. He who has ears
let him hear because, at this sensitive period in our polity, when the nation
seems to be tottering on the precipice, is a General Election the solution to
our crises, or will elections aggravate the problem”, asked the revered clergy
man.
Hmmm… tough choice, you’d say…

Jay Z Crashes Solange's Wedding
Jay z, showed up to Solange's wedding like a wedding crasher, this Sunday in New Orleans breaking a cardinal rule, dressed to the nines in a fancy white tux, looking all dapper ... but in this case there's an exception.
ofcourse, we all know that wearing white to someone else’ wedding normally is frowned upon ...because it feels like you are trying to upstage the bride on her day. But when you look at the photos it appears like the ceremony has an all white theme.
Or maybe he's just trying to get revenge for the elevator fight.

ISIS Issues Bloodcurdling Threat To Britain And USA
A veiled jihadist today gave a chilling threat to the West in a
video promising to show the cut off head of a U.S. aid worker and a mass murder
of Syrian soldiers.
Dialoguing in the now-familiar London accent of Islamic State
executioner-cum-spokesman Jihadi John, the militant issues the terrifying
threat in the group's latest propaganda video.
Later in the same video, which broadcasted today, it is claimed
that another Western hostage, the aid worker and former U.S. army ranger Peter
Kassig, has also been executed.
Jennifer Lawrence laments: “I don’t want to change, but people need to stop being such a**holes”.
“In my personal life, the tough part that comes with this
job is losing a lot of privacy,” declared the 24-year old. “Sometimes it’s
frustrating for just saying something silly”.
She admitted: “Its kinda alienating when the rest of the
world treats you in a certain way. It makes you feel alienated because I still
feel the same. I don’t feel any different, she added”.
In spite of everything, however, the “hunger games” actress
acknowledges that she has “a very blessed life” and that she loves being an actress”.

Eagles soar over Congo, revives AFCON title defense hopes
The Super Eagles of Nigeria, this afternoon, defeated the Red Devils of Congo in an African Cup of Nations qualifying match played in Pointenoire, Congo Republic.
Two second half goals from returnee striker Ikechukwu
Uche-from the penalty spot-and China based forward, Aaron Samuel, ensured victory for the Nigerian
side in a match marred towards the end by crowd unruliness.
Prior to the match, Nigeria had recorded only four points from as many
games and in danger of being knocked out of the qualifiers, lying third in the
group standings behind South Africa and Congo.
With this latest victory,
however, the Eagles have now recorded seven points, same as the Congolese, but
now require only a victory over South Africa in the last round of qualifying
matches to seal their place in next year’s AFCON scheduled for Equatorial
Guinea early 2015.
The match against South Africa is set for Wednesday, at the
ultra modern Akwa Ibom International Stadium, also known as the ‘nest of
champions’, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Thumbs up for the Eagles… always
good at doing things the hard way.
