JOSEPH FIENNES TO PLAY MICHAEL JACKSON IN 9/11 DRAMA

Joseph Fiennes has been cast as Michael Jackson in a new British television movie.

Fiennes will play the late King of Pop alongside Brian Cox as Marlon Brando and Stockard Channing as Elizabeth Taylor, according to The Guardian.

The film, entitled Elizabeth, Michael, and Marlon, will be based on a story first reported in Vanity Fair. A former employee of Jackson’s claims that the musician invited the legendary actors to see him perform in New York just before 9/11.

But after the terrorist attacks that toppled the World Trade Center towers, the three allegedly rented a car and tried to drive back to California on their own, making it as far as Ohio.

Fiennes is best known for his role in the 1998 Oscar darling Shakespeare in Love. He has also appeared in American Horror Story and the Dwayne Johnson action filmHercules.

Jackson was one of the most popular musicians of the 20th century, with his hit single “Thriller” selling over 30 million copies alone as of 2015. His later life was marred by accusations of child molestation, though Jackson was never convicted. He died in 2009.

MAN IMPREGNATES 13-YEAR-OLD STEP-DAUGHTER IN ONDO

A man identified as Femi Orojo has allegedly raped and impregnated his 13-year-old step-daughter, Odunayo in Okitipupa town in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo state.

Mother of the girl, Mrs Bunmi Joshua, who said she had been married to Orojo for six years, said he took to his heels immediately after confessing to the crime.

She said she discovered that Odunayo was five months pregnant following her incessant sickness in the recent times.

FEMALE BANKER, ACCOMPLICE FACE TRIAL FOR WITHDRAWING N5.8M FROM CUSTOMER’S ACCOUNT

A female Business Manager with an old generation bank in Ikotun Egbe branch, Lagos, Oyetade Bukky, 38, has been arrested and is facing trial for withdrawing money from a customer’s account.

Also arrested and charged to court is the Efurun, Delta State, branch Business Manager of the bank, Lawrence Ojo, 57.

Both of them are facing trial at the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly conspiring with others now at large to withdraw the sum of N80,000 and another N5m from the account of a customer of the bank, Animashaun Yakub Olalekan, without authorization.

The accused persons, according to the police, were arrested by the police at the Area ‘A’ Command, Lagos Island, following a complaint by Animashaun Yakub Olalekan that he received an alert of withdrawals from his account of the sum of N80,000 and N5m from his account domiciled at the bank in Lagos Island when he did not withdraw any money from his account.

UK Now Records Four Cases Of Zika Virus

A public health doctor in England, Dilys Morgan, said four “travel-associated” cases of the virus had been found in the last six weeks. The main concern surrounding the virus is a possible link between the virus and a rise in cases of microcephaly, a birth defect characterised by an abnormally small head that can result in developmental problems. Zika is spreading rapidly through Latin America and most people who contract it have either mild or no symptoms. The World Health Organisation declared Zika a global emergency last month, with some countries discouraging nationals from travelling to Latin American counties.

NIGERIA: ARMED ROBBER CONFESSES TO KLLING A WOMAN AND 6 FULANIS

Member of an armed gang from Abuja confesses to a string of crimes.

 – He describes how his gang’s leader shot a pregnant woman in her genitals, killing her.

 – Also confesses to involvement in murdering six Fulani herdsmen.

A member of a deadly eight-man armed robbery gang, Johnson Aikko aka Stigma, has described how his gang leader, Denis Avaughwa aka Ava, shot a pregnant woman in her genitals during one of their raids on a house in Abuja.

Akiko said Ava also shot the woman’s husband in both of his legs before the other gang members confronted their leader and demanded to know why he shot the woman after they had already robbed her.

NIGERIA: MAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING HIS STEPMOTHER 'S BOYFRIEND IN CALABAR

41-year old King Akpanke pictured above, has been arrested by officers of the Cross Rivers state police command for murdering his step-mother’s lover. King who was paraded before newsmen at the state police command headquarters in Calabar today February 10th, said he had on several occasions warned the deceased from coming to his late father’s house to have sexual intercourse with his step-mother.

“On that fateful day when we fought, he came to my house around 9 o’clock, he abused me and nobody was there in the house. The house belongs to my late father and I am the third son of my father. I was the only person in the house so when he started abusing me we fought, he brought a stick to hit me but I went inside and brought a knife and stabbed him on the head. So it was later discovered that he is dead.

I am very sorry because it was a mistake. The young man was having constant sexual intercourse with my late father’s wife. I warned him several times to stay off the house which belongs to my father but he refused he always comes there to have sex with her. He has been calling me all sorts of names like armed robber. He had always planned to kill me” ‎he said.

NIGERIA: MYSTERY: MAN COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER PRAYER MEETING

Police are still trying to unravel the mystery of a man who allegedly killed himself!

– The deceased had just reportedly returned from a prayer meeting before his death was discovered

The death of a 42-year-old man in Ondo state, has become a mystery, one which the state police is still trying to unravel.

Femi Joseph, the state’s police spokesman, confirmed that a certain Ayo Boye, was found dead dangling on a tree behind a block firm in the Adofure area of the capital, Akure.

The police imagemaker informed that Boye’s wife and relatives had been briefed of the ugly incident.
