I will love to talk about the boy
of 20yrs by the name of Adam Lanza, the gunman behind the elementary school massacre that left 18 children dead and 6
adults dead including his mother in Newtown,
Connecticut… yes it was a BLACK FRIDAY
but what caught my attention was the fact that that young man who later turned
the gun at himself was from a broken home!!!!
His mother called Nancy
Lanza divorced her husband Peter in 2009, when Adam was 17, though he was sick
with autism , a lifelong disability that affected his level of sensitivity
to sounds, touch, tastes, smells, light or colours and coupled with the fact
that he was pulled out of school by his mother all summed up his degenerated
state that led to him killing his mother first at home before heading down to
his school to kill innocent lives but I don’t want to settle on all of the
details… what I am concerned about is the effect, of parents’ divorce or separation on their kids, the magnitude of
this action on their kids…
Don’t you think that there is a great
impact on the lives of these little ones when their parents separates after years of being together?
Does it affect the child’s outlook on
life? Is it true that children who grow up in a stable home where the two-parents
are still together , do have the best chances of achieving better goals,
becoming responsible and positively
productive in the society as adults compared to children who come from a broken
home?
Or maybe its just a matter of the child’s
choices when he finally becomes aware of his environment, can comprehend It and
also has become strong make his own decisions and choices? whats your take on the level of broken homes in Africa as a whole!
