Have We Lost Our Humanity?

Being slipping into depression again and i tell you, it's been ages since i last slipped over and i was speaking to Tracy about it because i needed to talk to someone about it before it becomes resident longer than necessary and she told me that something might have triggered it.
As true as that seems, there is always something that triggers depression.. for me, its been something that i have had to struggle with from teenage when popsy left us and having had to go through harsh times with mumsy and my kid sister.
We aren't there yet but things have changed a bit for the better and God knows i am grateful even though, i have only gone to church once, this year (i know that look...lol... i will go to church this sunday so dont judge me).

I think the reason the depression is coming back is because of keeping up with the recent happenings around the world. Working in the media hasn't helped in any great proportion regarding helping one stay positive and worse off, it comes firsthand to you before you pass it on to the public.
The news of global insurgency, the list of ongoing armed conflicts that are taking place around the world, the rapid degradation and dilapidation of the education sector, not forgetting economic meltdowns, poverty in African countries, bad leadership, heartless citizens, broken homes, Job issues, divorce case even between some major spiritual leaders that i have grown up listening to is beyond me.

Nowadays, its very unlikely to get good news anywhere and this would naturally make anyone think that evil has come to not just hover upon the face of the earth but stay perpetually till the world wraps up and it may get worse than it already is. Don't get me wrong, i am the most optimistic person alive but hey, it's hard to really see through the waters when you are trying not to drown alongside others.
Sometimes, after i read some news, i tend to wonder what the next generation will be like.
children are no more children, humans have lost their humane side....

How do i mean???

Take a look at this picture and tell me if you couldnt have done the same.

You probably are wondering what this is all about right?
Here is  picture of a Liberian woman who lived in Lagos but was terribly sick so much so that people around her stopped selling anything to her, thinking that she might have been carrying Ebola Virus (stigmatization based on the fact that she is from Liberia). The woman couldn't take it anymore, coupled with her dealing with her unknown illness, she ended it all by killing herself through hanging on a tree.

Sad yea?

But this is what we "humans" did afterwards, TAKING A GODDAMN picture, probably to post on social networking site. Now tell me, "is Sodom and Gomorrah not better than us?"
Atleast, knowing how sinful they were , they accommodated  lots and his families !!
And these same people say they worship a God? These same people say they have conscience?
Do they even pray to God at Night?
There has been worse cases of jungle justice meted out to victims and no one out there in the midst of the mobs to call for help to save them. All they did was stand and watch or yell or accuse!
We forget that the clock ticks all the time, non stop and it might tick towards your direction one day.
You might find yourself in that position where you need someone to pull you out of that accident scene, knowing that you are not fully dead but just in a state of unconsciousness and yet, you are left there with people around thinking you are dead... till you slip off to oblivion with your life drained out of you finally.
Unaware to the public looking at your frail state that you actually gave up your last struggle in 15 minutes.
It always has a way of coming back at you or your loved ones, if we don't show some act of kindness to one another now.

Please, find the human inside of you and act fast, act quick because you never know what redemption price you might be paying for you and your children.
Don't stand there and judge someone else just because you sin differently!
Help, give a listening ear to anyone that needs help.
Tracy did that smallest thing of taking me out to the movies just to make me snap out of depression.
I am alot better.. !
She would have said, hey.. chic abeg pack well!
Na only you get wahala?
Thats what friends are for... to lift you up when you are down. They necessarily might not be in the right state of mind too but hey they will be there for you because they are stronger than you at that moment.
Well, i promise to return the favour next week wednesdayyyy!
Have a frigging weekend guys!
Stay happy! muaaaaaah
