Tragedy struck at the Ajanakus compound, Owoope
area at Gbongan, Osun state on Monday when Pa Yaya Oyewole, when the
foster father of an Ibadan businessman, Lowo Oyediran who was allegedly
murdered by his wife, Yewande, slumped and died.
The octogenarian was said to have developed
complication when he received the news that Lowo was stabbed to death by
Yewande because she learnt that the late husband had a child from another
woman.Yewande who is a daughter of a retired Permanent Secretary in Oyo State,
Venerable Olatinwo Adegbenro Fatoki was said to have stabbed her husband in the
neck while sleeping and the man bled to death on February 3.
Daily Trust learnt that the family of the late
octogenarian had been keeping the information from him until Monday morning
when he eventually heard. Late Lowo’s biological father, Pa Ajanaku died in
1990 and Pa Yaya who was an elder brother of his father took care of Lowo since
childhood.
A family source told our correspondent that Pa Yaya
died of shock when he was told that Lowo had allegedly been killed by his wife.
Lowo, a native of Osun state was living in Paris before he relocated to Nigeria
in 2014 to settle down with Yewande who is a lawyer and Principal State Counsel
at Oyo State Ministry of Justice in Ibadan.
