When I
wrote the article here yesterday about how I felt towards the position that Olajumoke Orisaguna’s husband now occupies, I didn’t
think other folks were beginning to think in that same light until Yemi Alade
responded to the situation. Yemi Alade
thinks it is absurd and reiterating the fact that Olajumoke also carried the
baby for 9months so why should her husband do same.
here is her message to critics after cut:
I
think she is missing the point here:
The
point is, ever since the breadseller sensation, the image of the ex-breadseller’s
husband is not directly proportional to the evolutional image of the
now turned model. If he is changing alongside his wife, then it will not be
noticed by everyone that he is looking and acting, the nanny!
If I can
remember, I said most women especially in Africa are not built to be more
successful than their husbands because in due time, it will get into their
heads and then see finish will start to enter plus a typical African man
cant handle a wife who is way more successful, worse still successful knowing that she
was dependent on him before the fame because the woman’s dependence on him is
where he derives his ego, his respect. So when he can not find that vacuum to
fill, he gets agitated.
Particularly in Africa, for
real. Only two possibilities exist for the sort of man in this seemingly fortunate
situation: Stay and play the tormented meek fool, OR, stay and when you try to
assert yourself as the 'head' of the house you would be accused of being
insecure or egotistical. . .and live a life of constant quarreling and fighting.
It's impossible for a woman to truly love and respect a man she is more successful than. Head or tail such a man is condemned to a life of misery unless he quits.

Check out why we have more
matured single ladies in this era than back in the day; its because we have
more independent women who are focused on making their own money so that “no douchebag-
son-of-biatch, would now come and talk shit to her or trample on her like her
father did to her mom.
Ask Linda ikeji, Rita Dominic,
Genevive Nnaji and the host of others why they are still single and the scares
men have towards them! Success scare a typical African man. It’s a shame but that’s
what it is!
