Reality
is what most people are scared to face. Its never a pleasant truth…
Almost all the time it hits you hard leaving a scar to remember…
It unravels its true essence to both the strong and the weak and leaves you
room to fight back in order to live or give up in order to die.
It’s a face that never softens into a smile nor
pity just because you are to feeble minded to tenaciously fight back and demand
from life what you truly deserve.
Instead it frowns
at the frailty of your heart beat and yet again it will throw tantrums at you..
It will cause all of your friends to neglect, backstab and forget you…
It will cause your landlord to push you out without a quit notice.
It will cause that job to delay and make you hunger for as long as possible.
It
will make prince charming get stuck in traffic so that you feel you aint
beautiful enough and no one wants you.
It will make people use you for a job that you know you are good at but you
never get paid for your skills.
It
will make responsibilities so high and ridiculously undoable even when it knows
you don’t have a dime to offset the bills it comes with.
It will make a sick mother die after she had long prayed that you would one day
be a blessing to the family.
It will make you friendless and show the world the wretched side ofyou, making
them think you are just a lazy fellow even when deep down, you know that you
have tried all, given your best but nothing seem to be working in your favour.
It’s
a harsh reality we live in, people..
Where a child is killed at its prime.
Where a father and family live in a house made with zinc material or cellophane
with little or no proper three square meals.
Where a girl is raped by a gang of boys and yet gets stigmatized for it, blamed
for it, worse still, killed or flogged for it like it were her fault she
planned for it.
We
live in harsh realities where rapist walks his way to freedom like much isn’t
there to hold him for.
We live in a world where the people we voted for get on seat, steal the
people’s money and not one is accused, not a word is spoken of it and none gets
detained for it.
But when a civilian steals a pen, he is beaten and lynched for it.
Reality is a man struggling to make his wife happy but one day finds her in the
arms of another man.
Reality
is indeed a child forced to be a soldier because his hometown is being invaded,
raided by terrorists.
He is made to kill to protect the land because he’s seen too many deaths for a
lifetime.
Reality is life, life is real.
Real people embrace it and doggedly fight it on, persistently till it paves way
for the actual bliss and revolution that one needs in order to be at a state of
rest.
There is no such thing as “we live to fight another
day”
That’s a mindset for cowards and the feeble ones.
Fight now and die later…
Push until the walls cant hold back it’s resistance.
Resist until reality obeys your cry…
